Ask your General Election candidates about the EBacc

|

Here is an important update from the campaign fighting the English Baccalaureate that the MIA continues to support. Politically, this is a good time to write to your local MP………

The Prime Minister has called a General Election.

We want to know where all the candidates standing for election and MPs standing for re-election stand on the exclusion of creative subjects from the EBacc league tables.

Here is what you can do to help:

1) Write to your local candidates

2) Ask them where they stand on the EBacc’s exclusion of creative subjects

We have updated the template letter to help you write to your local candidates and ask them where they stand on the EBacc’s exclusion of creative subjects.

Not all candidates are declared yet, but you can find out who your local candidates are by checking in your local newspaper or newsletters or – when they are formally announced – using the Electoral Commission’s guide. If your MP is standing for election again, you can find out who they are on the Parliament website.

If you receive a reply, you can send it to us at baccfortheFuture@ism.org
