As if we need to say it, social media truly is reshaping the way that daily news is consumed!
Half of social network site users have shared news stories, images or videos, and nearly as many (46%) have discussed a news issue or event. In addition to sharing news on social media, a small number are also covering the news themselves, by posting photos or videos of news events as they happen, before the media can get around to releasing anything.
So following that ‘people are the news’ mentality, MIAnews is keeping up with platforms for communication; we want to facilitate conversation around the important issues of the day
