Casio Release new Advanced Keyboard Range Featuring AiX Sound Source AND new CELVIANO Digital Piano Featuring Two New Grand Piano Sounds for an Authentic Piano Experience

New CELVIANO Digital Piano

Casio Music UK announced today that it will release the AP-470 in its CELVIANO lineup of cabinet-style digital pianos. Available in two different finishes (Satin Black and Satin White) the AP-470 is based on sound and design principles akin to traditional acoustic pianos.

The new AP-470 models (with RRP starting from £1099.99) come with two types of preset grand piano tones. The setting intended for classical music reproduces each subtle nuance of an acoustic piano and gives players a full range of expression, from delicate notes to powerful response, depending on the force of their keystrokes. The other Grand Piano setting has been tailored for jazz and pop music.

For the new model, Casio enhanced two of their existing technologies: String Resonance (which adjusts the resonance for every single key) and its Hammer Response technology, (which optimizes the attack of the notes to match the characteristics of different types of piano tones). With these features, the AP-470 is even more responsive than previous models; ensuring users can play comfortably and naturally.

Moreover, these new models have been styled after actual acoustic pianos, including an openable top lid design that allows users to adjust the acoustics of the piano and broaden its sound, along with a single-piece keyboard cover, sturdy side panels, and rounded edges on the sides of each key.

In addition, the new AP-470 model is able to connect to Casio’s dedicated Chordana Play for Piano app. The app displays various settings on the screen, including options for switching tones and adjusting resonance, making it easier for users to navigate and create their own settings. Settings are also saveable in the app.

New Advanced Keyboard Range

Casio Music UK also announced that it will release three new keyboards with advanced specifications for serious performing and playing. The CT-X5000 (RRP £499.99)/X3000 (RRP £379.99) keyboards feature the new AiX Sound Source,*1 which reproduces with remarkable accuracy the sound of acoustic instruments, and a new audio system generates powerful sound.

*1 Acoustic Intelligent multi-eXpression (AiX) Sound Source

The CT-X5000/X3000 keyboards feature the new AiX Sound Source, leveraging Casio’s extensive expertise in developing precise sound from their digital pianos and applying these accomplishments to the advanced CT-X range. The keyboards provide high-quality tones ranging from powerful and stirring bass tones to crisp high frequencies. The keyboards faithfully reproduce the natural sound of acoustic instruments including a resonance that corresponds to the strength of each piano keystroke, a sensational live drum sound, and soaring strings.

The keyboards provide 100 high-performance Digital Signal Processor (DSP) effects that combine various algorithms to realize diverse sound effects, enabling richly expressive playing to suit the user. With large-magnet bass reflex speakers and a 15W+15W*2 high-output amplifier (maximum output, CT-X5000 model), the keyboards deliver powerful sounds, whether used at home or performing in a large venue. The speakers are embellished with red highlights, giving the keyboards a stylish and iconic look.

*2 CT-X3000 is equipped with a maximum output 6W+6W amplifier.

In addition, Casio is also announcing the release of the CT-X700 keyboard (RRP £279.99), which also feature the newly developed AiX Sound Source.

Moving forward, Casio will actively expand its lineup of keyboards equipped with the innovative AiX Sound Source.
