The annual industry event was held at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in London and drew over 300 guests from the full breadth of musical instrument industry.

Companies attending included instrument manufacturers and distributors, music publishers, music shops and a wide range of allied partners and companies.
The evening was run in partnership with NAMM, the international music products association.

A wide range of sponsors supported the Awards including Musicguard, Classic fm, Future Publishing, NAMM, Musikmesse Frankfurt, Moneyway, the Arts Council of England and the MPA Catalogue of Printed Music.

30 Awards were given out that recognised the best people, products and companies in the industry.

MIA President, Jon Gold gave a speech outlining the achievements and aspirations of the MIA. This speech will shortly be available in a video format for anyone interested to find out more about the MIA.

The evening was rounded off by comedian Bobby Davro
