Here is some news announcing a number of new appointments at Anthem Publishing Ltd.
After just 4 years at Anthem, Andy Price is promoted to take up the Editorship of MusicTech. Andy has a Masters degree in Songwriting and has been recording for 15 years. He has been Anthem’s Head of Digital for the last 2 years and has played a central role not just in the stellar growth of Music Tech’s digital audience, but in the application of digital best practice across the company. He was Consulting Editor on our award-winning David Bowie tribute magazine and has written extensively for a range of Anthem’s music making and music listening titles. He will be taking up his new position on May 1st, and will also continue in his role as Anthem Head of Digital.
Andy Jones, Anthem’s Senior Editor in the Music Portfolio and Editor of MusicTech, will be taking up a new role as Music Portfolio Editor at Large while resuming his freelance career. Andy’s contribution to MusicTech’s resurgence as a print and digital brand cannot be over-estimated. His encyclopedic depth of music technology knowledge, his publishing and writing experience, and his naturally authoritative style have been a major part of Music Tech’s success, and I am delighted that in his new role as Anthem’s brand ambassador, that he will continue to write extensively and exclusively for our titles, and that he will continue to consult on the editorial content and make up of the magazine and digital properties.
Gary Walker is also promoted to become Editor on one of Anthem’s newest and most exciting launches, Long Live Vinyl. Gary has been with the company for just under 2 years and has been Managing Editor on Guitar & Bass magazine, working closely with Chris Vinnicombe. Together they have been instrumental in driving the award winning relaunch of Guitar & Bass. He has been a regular feature writer and written numerous gear reviews for G&B as well as editing quarterly supplements and bookazines. He will be taking up his new appointment in time for publication of the first monthly issue of the magazine on 6 April.
