The London Bass Guitar Show is back! – First artists announced

The London Bass Guitar Show is back for 2018, with another killer line-up, all the gear you could wish for and some inspiring new show features!

Guy Pratt is the first artist to be announced for next year’s show. A hugely prolific session bassist over the last three decades, Guy has recorded and toured with artists of the calibre of Pink Floyd, Madonna, Roxy Music, Michael Jackson, Iggy Pop, Tom Jones and many more. He is also a standup comedian, actor and published author. Guy will perform on the Main Stage at 5pm on the Saturday, and will hold a Masterclass on Sunday at 11am.

Brand new features from the 2017 show; the Bass Workshop with Scott’s Bass Lessons and the Luthiers’ Room will be back by popular demand. Expect informative and interactive lessons with Scott Devine himself as well as other top tutors from the SBL faculty, and renowned luthiers telling you everything you need to know about creating the beautiful instruments we love.

New for 2018 is The Tone Zone, where those in the know will help you discover that elusive perfect bass tone, and the Ultimate Bass Setup where you can learn how to set up your bass to best suit you and your playing. These will be invaluable sessions which can help to improve your playing hugely with just a few small changes.

Bass brands showing off their wares in the Gear Hall so far include Barnes & Mullins with Aguilar Amps, Spector, Peavey and DR Strings, Synergy Distribution with Bassics, Phil Jones Bass and Sandberg, plus Orange Amplification, Vanderkley, Ellio Martina, Chowny Bass and Allianz Musical Insurance – and there are loads more to be announced over the coming months!

The show is set to be the ultimate bass event of the year, so don’t miss out! 50p from every ticket we sell will be donated to Music For All, the charity of the UK musical instrument industry.
