October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) and Tenovus Cancer Care have teamed up with Worldwide Breast Cancer to promote awareness of the symptoms of breast cancer to everyone in the UK (yes, men get breast cancer too).
Worldwide Breast Cancer have developed a very powerful image called Know Your Lemons, which shows 12 lemons with the various identifiable symptoms (see below poster):
Even though BCAM started over 32 years ago, it is staggering how many people still can’t spot the majority of the 12 symptoms of breast cancer, even GPs! This year we want to change that.
We want to get the poster in all the staff rooms and the back of cubicle doors in the ladies’ toilets of all employers in the country, in October.
The Know Your Lemons® social media kit is available for you to download and schedule in time for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
What’s in my Kit?
20 images, captions and an A4 poster to print in-house which has Tenovus Cancer Care Support Line and Worldwide Breast Cancer’s 12 signs of breast cancer. Image squares work on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
How do I get the Kit?
Download your Kit by going to https://worldwidebreastcancer.org/tenovus. Once you complete the form, you will receive an email with instructions on how to download the Kit. (Check your spam folder!)
