You may recall our stories in MIA news a few months ago about the dreadful proposal by East Sussex Council to take £180,000 out of the music provision budget? (Read Save East Sussex Music Service!)
If you recall, this would have the children (especially) in the area with no more than the basic statutory music entitlement.
We subsequently campaigned along with a number of our partner organisations and many MIA members to try and prevent the cuts.
In addition, thousands of the public added their voice to the campaign.
EXCELLENT NEWS… we understand that the Council have decided NOT to proceed with the cuts!
