DR Strings are delighted to welcome acclaimed bassist Shez Raja to their artist roster in the UK.

His career to date includes recording albums with Mike Stern, Randy Brecker, Trilok Gurtu and Wayne Krantz and he is a regular at the annual London Bass Guitar Show where he was invited to perform on the main stage in 2017. Raja has featured numerous times in the UK’s Bass Guitar Magazine where he has also appeared on the cover alongside other leading bass artists. This month’s issue (Issue 168 May 2019) – on sale now – features a double page interview with Raja about his latest work and upcoming album ‘Journey To Shambhala’. The interview will also be published in the upcoming issue of the USA’s Bass Player Magazine, on sale on April 16th.
Raja is a graduate of Leeds College of Music and has gone on to be one of the most widely sought-after session bass players in the industry. His early work includes tours with Elephant Talk and Loka before going on to tour with platinum-selling hip-hop artist MC Lyte. He has performed at some of the UK’s most prestigious venues and festivals including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Islington Assembly Hall, London Forum and Glastonbury Festival.
