London Bass Guitar Show – first artists announced!

|

The excitement is building as this year’s London Bass Guitar Show approaches. Now co-located with the UK Guitar Show, we have a lot in store for the event at the Business Design Centre, Islington. Expect a bigger show than last year with some of the best brands, instruments, artists and experts in the industry attending…

We are extremely excited to announce the first of our 2019 artists – Nick Beggs, Ariane Cap and John Patitucci!

Nick Beggs is a British bass player and singer/songwriter renowned for playing the Chapman Stick. After his work with Steven Wilson, Steve Hackett and John Paul Jones, he’s developed into a performer in his own right. His band project The Mute Gods reached number two in the UK Rock and Metal charts during March 2019. Nick will treat us to an unforgettable performance on both bass and Chapman Stick on Saturday 21 September – not to be missed!

Austrian Ariane Cap is a multi-instrumentalist, educator, author, blogger and composer. An eclectic and versatile bassist, she has covered many styles, from Rock, Jazz, to Folk and Flamenco, to classical music, Latin Disco, Punk Rock and Cirque du Soleil. In her book and online course she teaches music theory, bass technique, bass line creation and fretboard fitness in a systematic, practical and experiential way. Catch Ariane on The Bass Guitar Stage on the Sunday.

Three-time Grammy Winner, John Patitucci, needs no introduction… but in case you’ve been hiding under a rock, he has been Grammy-nominated over fifteen times and has played on many other Grammy award-winning recordings. After working with the likes of Chick Corea, Tony Williams, Dizzy Gillespie, Wayne Shorter, John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Herbie Hancock, Bono and many others, his 30+ years in the Jazz world is very impressive. John will be performing in the Auditorium on Saturday 21 September – tickets are on sale now, but be quick as they are flying out fast.

Exhibitors booked already include Ibanez, Laney, Aguilar, Markbass, Fender, Vox, Blackstar, Warwick, Spector, Gretsch, Marshall, Peavey and Trace Elliot, and space is filling up fast.
