October 24th – The MIA Presents “Music Education – the HUGE opportunity for our industry”

Hopefully you all saw the announcement about our next Business Forum coming in October (click here).  We are now writing with the initial news on the shape of the event…

We are delighted that the Forum will be brought to you in Partnership with NAMM.

The planned agenda is below, you will see that we will be discussing the industry education opportunities for both children, adults and the ageing population:

11.30am – Arrival and buffet lunch

1.00pm – Welcome – David Barnard and Paul McManus
1.15pm – Scene setting: Children, Adults and the opportunity for our industry
2.00pmPanel 1Music Education – the outlook – music in schools, hubs, music education that is attractive to the young
3.00pm – Break
3.30pm – Panel 2 – The growth of private providers – successes, challenges and opportunities
4.30pm – Panel 3 – Education – the new frontier. Developing new opportunities for the industry
5.30pm – Closing comments
6.00pm – Bar opens and evening meal

We will shortly announce the initial sponsors and speakers for the event and would encourage everyone interested in music education to consider attending.

This Forum will also offer a range of support and ideas to anyone in our sector interested in getting involved in teaching people to play (or teaching more people!). Shops, suppliers, educators, all are welcome!

“Music Education – the HUGE opportunity for our Industry” will be held on Thursday 24th October 2019 at the Victory Services Club, Seymour St, London, W2 2HF – a 2 minute walk from Marble Arch Tube Station.
