“I’m delighted to be invited to be part of the Rhythm Grand Slam,” said Ian, “and I’m excited the magazine has been reignited and brought back to life. I’ve got copies of the mag going back to the 1980s and was a subscriber for the last 10 years. It’s a fantastic magazine.”
Ian, who is a co-owner and endorsee of the British Drum Company and uses Zildjian cymbals, Remo drum heads and Vic Firth sticks, will be performing on the main stage at the Slam, mixing it up with much-loved Kasabian songs as well as some of his own material.
“I’ll be playing on my own BDC drums,” he said. “It feels quite special to be involved in that way.”
The Rhythm Grand Slam is taking place on the weekend of 7-8 November 2020 and will feature an incredible roster of professional drummers and clinicians performing and running knowledge seminars and workshops, with a buzzing trade show comprising demo and break-out rooms and all the hottest gear on sale for consumers.
