Casio’s PX-S1000 awarded world-renowned iF DESIGN AWARD 2020

Casio’s Privia model PX-S1000 recognised by judges for its powerful sound engine, Bluetooth capability, fully weighted keys & sleek design.

MIA Member Casio Music UK, one of the world’s most renowned producers of musical instruments, is proud to announce that its PX-S1000, from the Privia range – the world’s slimmest digital pianos with an 88 weighted key hammer action – has been awarded an iF DESIGN AWARD 2020 in the Product discipline.

The recognition comes just over 12 months after the PX-S1000 was launched to mark the 15th anniversary of Privia. Taking its cue from the slogan “Slim. Stylish. Smart.”, the PX-S1000 is an extremely compact digital piano with authentic hammer action and Smart technology.

Featuring a newly developed Smart Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard, the PX-S1000 offers the player a natural piano touch with a touch panel interface that is both stylish and modern. It boasts a Multi-Dimensional Morphing AiR sound source, ensuring a stunningly accurate piano sound-field and what’s more, it offers Bluetooth audio reproduction – some of the most cutting-edge features to date.

Neil Evans, Head of Casio EMI, commented: “To be recognised by one of the most important design prizes in the world is an absolute honour. For any brand, it’s a seal of quality for exceptional design – in this case, for the PX-S1000. For our customers and players, it is a symbol that they can trust. We owe this recognition to everyone at Casio, especially our R&D department, which continues to be committed to developing industry-leading, innovative digital pianos.”

First awarded in 1953, the iF DESIGN AWARD is the oldest independent design seal in the world. It is a symbol of outstanding design achievements that focuses on the innovative power of design.
