Sustainability in the music products industry – Red Chilli Audio

The MIA’s sustainability series is the place that we share inspiring initiatives from the UK and beyond that are great examples of responsible manufacture and protecting the environment. Today, we are highlighting and celebrating MIA member Red Chilli Audio…

Business sustainability is more important than ever. Not just because of the obvious importance of conserving the planet, but also because of the increasing expectations of corporate responsibility. The consumer decision-making process is changing. The people purchasing your products will consider the environmental impact that they will have by investing in your brand over another.

So, here is our second case study in a regular series which will highlight and celebrate companies who are leading the way in sustainable initiatives. (You can see our first blog on Warwick Music Group and their pInstrument rage here, and our second on MIA Member BBICO, and their edgware range here)

Red Chilli Audio are very proud to announce that we’ve partnered with One Tree Planted for Isuzi Ukuleles and Guitars

One Tree Planted is a nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. Their mission is to reforest the planet, one tree at a time. Every $1 donated helps plant 1 tree. It’s that simple. They also raise awareness about the importance of trees, offer businesses like ours a simple sustainability solution, and motivate younger generations to do something positive for the environment.

Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and wellbeing, and create jobs for social impact. We’re honored to have reforestation through One Tree Planted as an integral part of our business model.

For every Isuzi Ukulele and Isuzi Guitar sold Red Chilli Audio will plant 1 tree.

Steve Helm, Managing Director of Red Chilli Audio said “We are proud to partner Onetreeplanted, it’s very important that anything we produce does not have a negative impact on the planet and our environment and anything we can do in a positive way is a move in the right direction.

We are starting with the Isuzi range of ukuleles and guitars and soon hope to expand this out to other brands within our portfolio.

We are also introducing a range of Isuzi Ukuleles with the Mi-Si pickup, the Simple Jack active Battery-Free preamplifier. NO Lithium batteries are used or needed and it’s a very clever system.”

The Mi-Si Acoustic Trio Uke System for Ukulele features an active, battery-free preamp designed specifically to work with the L.R. Baggs Ukulele pickup. The preamp for this system uses Mi-Si’s custom piezo linearization scheme – allowing for the most truthful and accurate sound from the pickup. All you have to do is power up for 60 seconds using the Mi-Si Power Charger, providing you with up to 16 hours of performance time.
