#CanDoMusic is a UK-wide campaign aiming to ensure all children and young people resume their musical learning when schools reopen. It offers practical teaching resources, advice and guidance on how to adapt to the “new normal” and information to support with advocating for music in school. Its mission is to celebrate and unlock the innovation of music teachers and senior leaders, ensuring that music plays a central role in rebuilding school communities…
The MIA are supporting this solutions-based campaign that highlights the importance of music education. We encourage our members to get involved and share some of the fantastic resources and initiatives that we’ve seen throughout lockdown. Your resources could help schools and teachers understand the ways in which music making can continue.
The #CanDoMusic mission is to celebrate and unlock the innovation of music teachers and senior leaders, ensuring that music plays a central role in rebuilding their school communities.
The ISM, Music Mark and the Music Teachers’ Association (MTA), have worked in partnership to create a solutions-based campaign. We have invested in the development of this campaign, but we now need your help to make it fly!
Please share your resources on CanDoMusic.org, a website that’s been set up specifically to help schools and teachers understand the ways in which music making can continue. To find out more about how to share your resource email firstname.lastname@example.org. Resources must be free and available to the public.
And please join in using #CanDoMusic across your social media channels. Every time you’re posting an inspiring story or advice on the possible ways to continue music making, use the hashtag so we get the message out there; together we #CanDoMusic.
