‘Employing People Essentials’ – The first of 3 HR Training Sessions: 
This Thursday

We are excited to announce a series of HR training courses commissioned from The HR Point as part of the MI Academy launch. The first session is taking place this Thursday, and there is still  1 place available if you’d like to register. 

We have worked with The HR Point and Managing Director Nicky Gleadow for many years, and we are pleased to draw on their expertise as part of our training offer.

We have designed these courses to empower you through knowledge of the basic principles and to help you identify when to seek further advice.

Here’s an overview of the 2-hour sessions, and the dates and times:

Employing People Essentials – Thursday 20th May:

  • Key employment laws to be aware of

Managing People Essentials – Tuesday 25th May:

2 places available

What’s covered? 

  • Managing employees in probation
  • How to deal with under-performance
  • How to conduct appraisals / reviews
  • How to set goals and objectives
  • Relevant employment laws to be aware of

Dealing with Difficult HR Situations – Thursday 27th May:

4 places available 

What’s covered?

  • How to deal with problem employees
  • How to deal with disciplinary issues
  • How to deal with dismissals – including redundancies
  • Relevant employment laws to be aware of

These sessions will be held on Zoom. Numbers are limited per session to ensure a collaborative and interactive atmosphere, and sessions will be repeated to fulfil demand.
