Friday’s MIA drop-in session: Learn to Play 2021

Every Friday at 10am, our drop-in sessions give you the opportunity to join with other industry colleagues and discuss the issues affecting you and your business.

Music for All have recently shared the good news that the next Learn to Play Event will take place on 25th & 26th September 2021.

Aimed at new and lapsed music makers, Learn to Play offers free 10–15 minute music lessons at local venues. These taster lessons are designed to inspire and motivate, bringing potential and inactive musicians back to music. Learn to Play ’21 will provide a bright and inspiring moment for aspiring and lapsed music makers of all ages, helping them to start or restart their musical journey after lockdown.

The later date of Learn to Play ’21 is to ensure that the event will be operating as near as possible to pre-covid conditions, and to coincide with the first term that school age children will be returning to a full school year for two years.

Music shops and brands have always been huge supporters of Learn to Play, and many of you have held events before. This is an excellent opportunity to increase awareness and visibility of your shop, or organisation within your local community and gain new customers.

At this week’s drop-in session, we’ll share some new and exciting developments, and we’ll talk about how you can get involved in Learn to Play ’21.

These Zoom sessions are really informal and open to any business operating across the MI sector.

If you would like to join the session taking place this Friday at 10am, please contact matt@mia.org.uk
