Friday’s MIA drop-in session: New Lacey Act Requirements

|

Every Friday at 10am, our drop-in sessions give you the opportunity to join with other industry colleagues and discuss the issues affecting you and your business.

The US Fish and Wildlife services has advised that as of July 1st 2021 the Lacey Act will be expanded to cover a more comprehensive range of instruments, in addition to pianos and all other stringed instruments that have been subject to the Act since 2008.

Companies importing all musical instruments containing wood into America – now also including drums, clarinets, flutes, and piccolos – will be required to file a new import declaration form. You can learn more about the new requirements in our previous news piece here

This week, we’d like to hear about the impact that preparing for the expanded Lacey Act requirements has had on your business. The session will be an opportunity for MI companies to share experiences.

These Zoom sessions are really informal and open to any business operating across the MI sector.
