Music Venue Trust launches #Takeatest initiative

MIA Member Music Venue Trust (MVT), which represents hundreds of grassroots music venues, has announced a new campaign to encourage live music fans to take a voluntary lateral flow test ahead of attending gigs. The #takeatest initiative follows the UK government’s lifting of most COVID-19 restrictions from July 19th, allowing music venues to fully re-open for the first time in over 16 months and is in response to the move towards ‘personal responsibility’ as the principal guidance moving forward. Orange Amplification goes deep purple with Glenn Hughes

MIA Member Orange Amplification are launching the limited edition, Glenn Hughes Signature Crush Bass 50 and its colour is deep purple, not orange! Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Glenn Hughes, has been an Orange Ambassador for over a decade. For many years he was the bass player and vocalist with Deep Purple, who recently celebrated fifty years of definitive classic hard rock. Hughes is also known as the bassist and vocalist for Trapeze, Black Country Communion with Joe Bonamassa, California Breed and more recently The Dead Daisies. Click the link above to read more.

MIA Member Palm Bay Guitars announces the launch of a limited run electro-acoustic guitar range. The AH “Arm-Heel” range consists of 4 models: AH-OM102, AH-OM102A, AH-TC102 & AH-TC-102A. “Arm Heel” refers to the design feature of the contoured gradient on the upper part of the guitar top, which offers both a beautiful design aesthetic and improved ergonomics under the player’s forearm.
