Music China postponed to January 2022

|

We have received that Music China has been postponed from October 2021 to January 2022. Here is the statement in full:

In light of the recent pandemic situation in China, the 20th edition of Music China will be re-scheduled from October to 14 – 17 January 2022 at the same venue, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The move is in alignment with the Chinese government’s anti-pandemic measures, and will ensure that the organisers can deliver as safe a fair as possible for participants.

In recent days, the pandemic situation in China has been evolving and as a result the country has extended its pandemic containment measures. To adhere with the Chinese government’s prevention and control guidelines, the organisers have come to the decision to postpone the show to January 2022 following an extensive consultation with all stakeholders.

Although preparations had been in full swing to welcome exhibitors and visitors to mark the 20th anniversary edition, the organisers believe that this step into January is a wise decision, because providing a safe trade fair for all participants and staff members should remain a top priority. In January, the organisers will celebrate the important milestone and continue to provide a quality trade platform for conducting business activities, brand building, education and networking.

At the rescheduled January event, additional hygiene measures will be strictly implemented, including face recognition, entry checkpoints to verify health declaration codes and temperature scans. All participants are required to submit travel records and wear a face mask at all times.

As one of the world’s largest trade fairs for musical instruments, Music China provides an important convergence point for the full range of Western and Chinese musical instruments, and an ideal destination for industry players, professionals and enthusiasts alike to hold business discussions and exchange new ideas. The show’s prestigious fringe programme also offers a wide variety of conferences, panel discussions and live outdoor music shows.

Music China is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the China Musical Instruments Association and Shanghai Intex Exhibition Co Ltd. For more details, visit www.musikmesse-china.com or email the show’s organisers at music@hongkong.messefrankfurt.com.
