Over the last few days, there’s been announcements from both Music China and Musikmesse Frankfurt with regard to next year’s events.
In light of the current pandemic situation in China, Music China, originally scheduled to take place in January 2022, has been postponed to 26 – 29 October 2022 at the same venue, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The move is in support of the government’s anti-pandemic measures and will allow exhibitors and visitors to concentrate their resources more efficiently.
There is no further information at this stage, but we will follow-up with the organisers and bring you an update as soon as it is available.
Musikmesse will return to Frankfurt next year between 29 April and 1 May 2022, after missing the last 2 years due to the pandemic. The show will return as a hybrid event with different areas designed for B2B or B2C visitors.
The traditional Musikmesse halls will focus on trade conversation and product launch, and new areas such as Musikmesse Congress and Education will function as networking points and to help business develop in areas such as social media and music education.
Musikmesse Plaza will give brands the opportunity to showcase product to end users and Musikmesse Festival will be a showcase for upcoming artists across all musical genres.
Wolfgang Weyand, Director of Musikmesse and Musikmesse Festival: “As well as presenting all aspects of making music, it is an event that will appeal to anyone who is interested in music. No other show in Europe covers such a broad spectrum.”
