Find out more about upcoming changes to Customs rules

|

We know members have been facing challenges moving goods across borders since the UK left the EU at the start of the year. The next phase of Customs declaration changes are due to begin next year and our friends at the BRC have kindly extended an invitation to MIA Members to take part in a webinar to learn more.

Apologies for the fact this is a little short notice but if you register for the event and can’t make it, you should then be able to watch on-demand at a time to suit you.

The webinar takes place today at 2:30pm and you can register here.

Please see a bit more information from the BRC about this event below:

As of 1st of January 2022, full customs declarations will need to be made at the time of import for all goods. This will mean that retailers will take control of their declarations processes, either by it doing themselves, or getting a customs intermediary to do it for them.

Some retailers are finding this process difficult, so it’s urgent that retailers prepare now. In the webinar you’ll hear from experts from the BRC and Deloitte on what the upcoming changes are, the challenges you might face, and the tools you can use now to improve your customs processes and prepare your business.
