Wak-a-Tubes – supporting local manufacturing

Proudly made in Leicestershire (along with Stilton, Red Leicester, and pork pies!), Wak-a-Tubes are a leading example of quality British manufacturing. Each tube is cut from REACH compliant plastic and hand finished in a workshop by long standing Percussion Plus employees Paul and Steve.

Wak-a-Tube sets are packed in FSC certified cardboard packaging and shipped from a UK warehouse, ensuring that the carbon footprint is minimised as much as possible.

Percussion Plus also offers convenient Wak-a-Tube classroom packs for multiple players. These are put together with schools and music hubs in mind and are available with or without carrying/ storage cases.

The complete range spans a fully chromatic two octaves (from C3-C5) – a range of diatonic and chromatic treble and bass packs are also available. Wak-a-Caps can also be added to one end of the tubes to lower the pitch by an octave.

Every Wak-a-Tube product includes a free download of the Wak-a-Tube Songbook, a fantastic teaching resource for the classroom, featuring over 20 songs, colour coded notation, chords and handy playing tips.

“Playing Wak-a-Tubes is an excellent way to add melody to your rhythms, they are easy for everyone to play on any surface and have a wide range of notes so you can play simple tunes to full polyphonic arrangements to boost your school’s music profile.”
