Government support for Music China 2022

Earlier this year, the Government wound up the Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP) that had been supporting MIA Members for many years. The replacement scheme (The UK Tradeshow Programme) is considerably more focused in terms of the application process, and the criteria that need to be met in order to qualify.

We have been working with the sector team to ensure that the trade events most relevant to UK MI business continue to form part of the programme moving forward. During a meeting just before Christmas, we were asked whether Music China should be part of the funding plan for 2022.

To help us respond to this request, we need your help. If your business is considering (or could consider) an application under this scheme, we need to know about it.

Companies must meet the following headline criteria:

  • a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) (less than 250 employees),
  • UK VAT registered
  • turning over annually between £250,000 to £5 million
  • exhibiting for the first time or wishing to venture into new markets

Further details can be found here

Please could you get in touch before the end of the week to confirm that you would be looking to access this funding plan and we can asses and respond to DIT accordingly.
