What do you think of an Online Sales Tax?

The Government has launched a policy consultation into an Online Sales Tax. This is an open consultation, exploring the proposal for an online sales tax (OST) as a means to rebalance the taxation of the retail sector between online and in-store retail

Although the consultation doesn’t close until the 20th May, we wanted to start a conversation about this issue as soon as possible. It is not 100% clear how the revenue from an online sales tax would be spent, and whether it would be used to offset the current business rate levels.

The drop-in this week will be a chance to share what we know at this stage and explore the wider issue which will help members who want to take part in the consultation.

These sessions are really informal and open to any business operating across the MI sector.

If you’d like to come along, you can register to attend this week’s session here
