Focusrite Honoured with Queen’s Award


Focusrite Audio Engineering Ltd (Focusrite) is one of over 200 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise. Announced today (Thursday 21 April), in Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee year, Focusrite Audio Engineering has been recognised for its excellence in international trade.

Employing 267 people, Focusrite was set up in 1989 and is an industry-leading audio interface and digital musical instrument manufacturer. Focusrite’s parent company, Focusrite PLC (known as ‘the Focusrite Group’), joined the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in 2014.

This is the fifth Queen’s Award to be received by the company and the third time acknowledging the outstanding and sustained growth of their international sales. Focusrite has previously won the Queen’s Award for Innovation (2008, 2018) and the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade (2012, 2016).

Martin Audio Ltd, another company inside the Focusrite Group, previously won the Queen’s Award for Innovation (2021) for its Wavefront Precision optimised line arrays.
Founder and Chairman of the Focusrite Group, Phil Dudderidge said:

2022’s Queen’s Award for Enterprise recognises Focusrite for successfully meeting increased order volumes while dealing with disruption to deliveries and for growing their overseas orders by 145% in the six-year period. Their top markets include North America, Germany, Austria, France, Benelux, Australia and South Korea.

Now in its 56th year, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country, with winning businesses able to use the esteemed Queen’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.
