Just a reminder that we have two events running this week:
This week’s drop-in is focused on the survey we recently sent out with regard to the proposed Online Sales Tax. We are planning to share the results of the survey and discuss the next steps prior to the government consultation ending on the 20th May.
If you haven’t completed the survey you still have time, it takes around 10 minutes to complete and you can find it here.
We are trying to get the widest possible expression of views on this topic so both the survey and the drop-in will be available to members and non-members,
These sessions are really informal and open to any business operating across the MI sector.
If you’d like to come along, you can register to attend this week’s session here.
Earlier this year we hosted a drop-in on the subject of the new UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark. It was a really wide-ranging discussion with a very engaged mix of Manufacturers & Distributors. At the end of the event it was concluded that a follow-up would be helpful and that some professional knowledge of the subject matter would also be very appreciated.
As such we (the MIA) reached out to the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) for some support, and we are pleased to announce that Lora Bedford, who leads on UKCA Engagement, will be joining us for a webinar on Thursday 5th May at 10am,
As many of you will know, product manufacturers must get to grips with the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark; a new UK product marking regulation to be used in place of the CE mark for goods being placed on the UK market.
Manufacturers need to have their entire stockholding refreshed with properly labelled stock by the 1st Jan 2023.
You can register here for the webinar, please note this session will be for MIA Members only.
