A boost in fans learning Elvis songs following the success of recent biopic

With the Elvis biopic landing on Amazon Prime this week, Fender has released some interesting stats, proving the everlasting influence of a musical icon.

Since the theatrical release of Elvis on 24th June, Fender has reported a huge spike in music fans keen to learn how to play Elvis’ hits on the guitar.

The release of the Elvis biopic has seen double the number of Fender Play users playing Elvis songs, including ‘All Right’, ‘Jailhouse Rock’, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ and ‘Burning Love’.

Fender Play is the complete online learning platform for guitar, bass and ukulele with engaging step-by-step tutorials, personalised learning journeys and 100s of songs to choose from.

Speaking about the rising popularity of Elvis songs across the Fender Play platform, Matt Watts SVP of Marketing at Fender says, “The lasting impact of an artist like Elvis is undeniable. His music is still inspiring people across the globe, young and old, to begin their own musical journeys and this is evident via this spike in activity we have seen on Fender Play”.
