HHB | Finance Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team within a leading and highly respected Pro Audio technology organisation. Based in NW10, London, HHB Communications Ltd. is looking for a Finance Manager to support the Financial Controller in providing high level accounting, financial management, and financial information services.

This is a recently created role in which you will be responsible for the day to day running of the finance department, managing a team, and assisting the Financial Controller with an increasing workload. Our ideal candidate will be a highly experienced and self-motivated individual with a proven track record in managing accounting procedures in a commercial environment.

Role & Responsibility

  • Lead, motivate and manage a Finance Team of four experienced members, ensuring that roles within the Finance Team are being performed efficiently and effectively.
  • Review and monitor existing accounting systems as well as recommending and implementing initiatives to improve their effectiveness where appropriate.
  • Review and manage customer and supplier credit limits.
  • Review and manage daily cash flow and regular foreign currency forecasts.
  • Provide cover for absences within the Finance Team and deputise for the Financial Controller.
  • Manage the month end closing of ledgers and reconciliations and assist with the year-end accounting processes.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end financial accounts for audit purposes including detailed schedules and supporting information.
  • Prepare and review for submission quarterly VAT returns and other ad hoc reports as required and liaise with HMRC where necessary.
  • Assist in financial audits and in annual stock takes.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in Ad Hoc Projects.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified accountant AAT+ or 3+ years’ relevant experience.
  • Experienced in supervision of staff within a small team, with the confidence and ability to lead by example.
  • Dedicated and diligent professional.
  • Flexible and able to operate within a dynamic business environment.
  • Excellent computer skills including advanced Excel.
  • Previous Experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is desirable.
  • Understanding of Tariff/Commodity Codes for purposes of clearing of Importing/Exporting goods is preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to undertake duties with minimum supervision as directed by the Financial Controller.
  • Interest or experience in the Pro Audio industry (or similar technology-based industry) would be an advantage.

Salary is dependent on experience and the successful candidate will also receive a package of benefits including private healthcare, life assurance and company pension after a qualifying period.
