We’ll forgive you if you haven’t… So, here’s a run-down of how we’re organising our content to provide our members with an easy to digest summary of the news, events & calls to action that they need to be aware of.
A new plan for Mondays & Fridays
Every Monday, we’ll be talking directly to our Community Groups. You won’t receive our usual newsletter style piece, and 3 out of 4 Mondays, you might think that we’ve gone quiet. Let me explain:
The 1st Monday of the month: Leadership
The Leadership group is designed to give those key stakeholders in member organisations a high level digest of all the current or upcoming business critical topics. Executive Director Anthony Short provides regular insight & intel that can be shared to wider management structures
The 2nd Monday of the month: Retail
We’ll be highlighting the work that we do that is specifically relevant to the people who work within musical instrument retailers, bringing you the latest news, events and initiatives most relevant to you.
The 3rd Monday of the month: Manufacture
This bit of comms will be tailored to the supply side of the industry – those people and companies that have a long history of manufacturing and supplying musical instruments & technology that are innovative, unique and of the highest standard.
The 4th Monday of the month: Future Leaders
This group is for future business leaders, the people who will drive the industry forward into the next decade. It will provide networking and learning opportunities to the next generation.
You don’t need to take any action to be subscribed into these groups; we’ve allocated all of the email addresses of people who work for MIA member companies into the relevant places.
Fridays are Weekly Round-Up days. That one kind of does what it says on the tin, and summarises the top stories of the week. What is worth noting though, is that as part of that, we share press releases and news from our members, so please keep sending these our way. It’s also a place to share industry vacancies. This email gets high engagement rates, so it’s the perfect place to promote new products, initiatives and job opportunities to the UK MI trade.
Some new features to get involved with
When you see this ‘Demystifying’ logo, it means that we’re going to take a hot topic, simplify it, and provide you with an easy to digest guide on what the issue is and why you need to understand it. If you’d like to suggest a topic for us to cover, please do get in touch.
Industry Voices is our new series, which allows us to hear from people working in or around our space on pressing issues, things they’re working on and topics that they feel passionate about. We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to contribute to this feature.
