In June 2022, the National Plan for Music Education was published, featuring a £25 million capital investment fund for musical instruments and equipment.
Throughout 2023, the MIA played a crucial role in the Task & Finish Group, advising the Department for Education on the planned investment. Our goal has been to bring the industry along with us on this journey, and this event is about empowering our members to embrace this new opportunity.
It has been confirmed that the £25 million funding will be directed via the Music Hub network, which will act as the procurer of products under the funding framework. Therefore, it is vital that individuals working within instrument manufacturers, suppliers, and retailers in the UK MI sector connect with those representing the Music Hub network to access the route to market for this investment.
