I’m Paul Boyd, the founder and director of Morningside School of Music, and my journey in music education spans over two decades. Since our establishment in 1999, the school has flourished into a thriving community of over 1,400 students and 40 dedicated teachers, each committed to delivering exceptional musical instruction.
As an honorary professor of entrepreneurship at Heriot-Watt University, I am passionate about fostering innovation and supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in the music industry.

Franchisees will operate from a fixed location, and we are committed to assisting in finding and equipping suitable premises. Our research has shown that the perfect setting for a franchise is in areas with excellent visibility on lively streets, particularly in affluent city neighbourhoods with a minimum population of 500,000 residents within a 15-mile area. Accessibility to a nearby musical education university is also highly advantageous, serving as an excellent source for talented teachers.
The ideal property should offer at least 5 teaching rooms (including a larger one), staff facilities (kitchen/toilets), a welcoming reception area, and a functional office. We aim for spaces ranging between 2,500 to 3,000 square feet in total.
