Focusrite are pleased to announce the release of RedNet Control v2.13 – available now. This software update enables RedNet PCIeNX card owners to expand audio channel capacity from 128×128 to 256×256 (up to 96kHz)* by purchasing a one-time license upgrade from Audinate.
This upgrade significantly enhances system capacity, enabling RedNet PCIeNX cards to simultaneously handle up to 256 inputs and outputs. This increased capacity allows for seamless audio reception from numerous sources and distribution to multiple destinations, such as large surround installations or live shows with extensive monitor mixes.
“Whether you’re routing signals to a Dolby Atmos renderer, managing a multi-room studio setup, or handling complex live sound routing that includes recording, playback, and foldback to numerous locations simultaneously, the ability to manage all of this from a single RedNet PCIeNX card is something we’re extremely pleased to offer our customers.
For example, having a PCIeNX installed in a control room computer connected to multiple live rooms or concert halls via Dante, you could maintain 256 mic pres patched to your control room at all times. This setup eliminates the need for administrative adjustments between sessions based in different rooms. In live sound, the capability to receive audio from multiple sources and send it out to various destinations, such as large surround installations and live shows with extensive monitor mixes, is invaluable.” – Jack Cole, Focusrite RedNet Product Manager
To access this upgrade, users should update their PCIeNX software to RedNet Control v2.13 then purchase a one-time license upgrade via Audinate’s Dante Activator, priced at $169 + tax.
