Sound Service UK is the British division of Sound Service Europe – a specialist pan-European distributor of world-class musical instruments and HiFi equipment. The Role
We’re looking for a passionate, hands-on Warehouse & Sales Admin Assistant to join our existing team. This role is split across two main areas of focus:
60–70% Warehouse Support:
- Assisting our Warehouse Manager with day-to-day logistics tasks
- Stock booking in, stock checking, inventory control
- Preparing and packaging goods for shipment
- Helping ensure accurate and efficient order dispatch
- Maintaining a tidy and safe warehouse environment
30–40% Admin & Sales Support:
- Answering inbound telephone calls and routing or handling any enquiries accordingly
- Using our Sage ERP system to process new and track existing back orders
- Assisting the sales team with customer sales order entry and support
- Liaising directly with customers over the phone and by email — answering product queries, checking stock levels, and providing quick updates
- Performing regular stock checks and inventory reviews for our UK & Ireland dealer network
- Supporting product data entry and occasional internal reporting
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operational flow
- Assisting the Service Department by liaising with the customers, generating returns numbers and providing status updates of ongoing current Service jobs
- Liaising with 3rd party logistics partners, booking shipments and collections with couriers ranging from small single item fast parcel items travelling locally or nationally right up to multiple pallet shipments and container loads of goods on an international level.
About You
You don’t need years of experience, although it could well be a bonus, we’re more interested in your attitude and potential. You might be a school leaver, a recent graduate, or someone looking for their first full-time break in the music industry.
What matters is that you’re:
- Energetic, reliable, hard-working and hungry to learn
- Comfortable using computers (basic Excel and Word skills a must)
- Organised and detail-oriented
- Physically fit enough for warehouse tasks (lifting, moving boxes, etc.)
- Bonus points if you play an instrument or love music

The Details
- Full-time role, Monday–Friday (office-based only)
- Based at our Hoddesdon HQ (Unit C1, Geddings Road)
- Salary dependent on experience
- Up to 28 days holiday maximum subject to length of service
