Alice Monk
Alice has been working with the MIA for 7 years, and she runs the day-to-day operations for the organisation. Alice ensures that the MIA is well run with effective support processes and systems, and she leads on the delivery of strategic projects and events.
Alice is 27 years old, and set up the MIA’s Future Leaders Network. She is passionate about creating a place to give the next generation of leaders the opportunity to network, engage, discuss and socialise. Alice also works closely with the Accessibility Commitee, helping to implement equality, diversity, and inclusivity initiatives that don’t just last for one day, but that can educate and create positive change within the music industries all year round.
When she’s not working with the MIA, Alice is a tutor at a local performing arts company. She teaches singing, dancing and acting to a group of people over the age of 18 who have a range of needs stemming from being wheelchair-bound to having conditions such as Downs’ Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Autism.
Alice is your main point of contact, and is always delighted to hear from members. You can reach out to her here
