Howard Gillespie

Howard’s first experience of Board Membership was in 1978 at University where he served two terms as Student Union Treasurer.

In 1989 he co-founded independent retailer Oasis Musical Instruments Ltd and spent the first year working in California as an instrument repairer. He remains active in the management and repair side of the business.

In 2010 he established Brilliant Distribution Ltd specifically to handle the distribution of Goeldo Products (Duesenberg and Kluson) as well as Huss and Dalton Guitars.

He remains an active and committed live performer and can often be found on the Tribute Band Circuit as well as with his local band in Bournemouth.

As a member of the MIA Board Howard’s focus will be the recruitment of new members in both the retail and distribution sectors.
