Frederick Hyde Ltd are looking for a Warehouse Operative, Based in Haslemere
Frederick Hyde Ltd is a leading music distribution company based in Haslemere, Surrey, the parent company of a number of well-known music brands. We have a large showroom, trade and retail e-commerce websites, a gig bag company, an instrument import and distribution company, a percussion manufacturing business and ukulele manufacturing business.
We have an exciting opening for a warehouse team member and occasional driver to join our warehouse team, the dynamic ‘engine room’ of our business. This is a great opportunity to take on a varied role within a hardworking and friendly team, and to be a valued member of our company during a period of exciting expansion.
Responsibilities
- Assisting our expanding warehouse team in picking, packing, and shipping goods
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Stock taking, labelling, preparing stock for sale
- Maintaining a tidy, organised, and safe warehouse environment
- Daily local pick-ups and drop-offs between our warehouse and showroom
- Other miscellaneous deliveries
Role requirements
- A good level of general fitness, owing to the physical nature of the role
- Mature and positive attitude, comfortable taking instruction but also using your own initiative
- Good timekeeping, with the ability to work quickly and accurately
- Computer skills, knowledge of musical instruments, an interest in music, and previous warehouse experience are beneficial but not essential
- A clean driving licence and experience driving commercial vehicles would be an advantage but is not essential
