DIGITAL MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Who are we?

Black Lives in Music stands on the frontline of diversity in the UK music industry. We work with global market leaders and partners such as: UK Music, Google, Help Musicians, Apple Music, Oxford University and more. Black Lives in Music vanguard of the effort to combat racism, uniting organisations and musicians to create a truly inclusive and diverse music industry.

We use data and insights to campaign for equity and we support the empowerment of Black musicians to realise their aspirations.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing and Communications Manager to be part of a fast-paced team in a marketing environment. This person must be organised, self-motivated and have good communication skills as well as being a passionate marketing writer who understands digital marketing and advertising landscape and what makes informative value driven content. They are passionate about development and wanting to grow the brand. They are a true visionary, disciplined, collaborative and extremely capable of manifesting new creative ideas. Working with the wider team is focused on the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns that support and strengthen the Black Lives in Music brand.

FINANCE OFFICER

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic, well-organised Finance Officer to join our expanding organisation.  BLiM has established its role in the movement for equality of opportunity for people of colour in the jazz and classical music sector and the BLiM Finance Officer will be focused on all aspects of finance and to support the senior management as required. The BLiM Finance Officer will report directly to the Director of Operations and CEO. The ideal candidate will have a solutions-driven approach assisting and advising on all relevant finance and accounts as well as review and prepare management information.

You will have around two years of experience or have demonstrated core competency in a similar role elsewhere, be an energetic and organised person who likes working together with the team but is equally happy to work alone.

RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic, well-organised Relationship Manager with a passion for jazz and classical music to join our expanding organisation.  BLiM has established its role in the movement for equality of opportunity for people of colour in the jazz and classical music sector and the BLiM relationship manager is focused on the successful dialogue and relationship building with organisations signed and committed to the BLiM charter for change.

The role of the Relationship Manager will be to work with partner organisations to improve diversity at all levels of the organisation by using their own professional and lived-in experience in tandem with key metrics produced by in-house and BLiM reporting.   The BLiM RM will report directly to the Director of Operations  They will work with organisations clearly suggesting ways to improve on short, medium and long term time scales.  The BLiM RM will offer support and help with development in all areas of it’s progress with diversity.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic and organised person with practical skills in relationship and change management, reporting as well as light administrative tasks (e.g. calendar/email and simple word processing).  As a small organisation, it is important the role holder is able to work as part of a team and willing to get involved in other aspects of BLiM’s work as suitable to the skills of the RM.
