Warehouse Supervisor

Bonners Music | Eastbourne

Full Time | 5 Days / 38.75 hours a week

Monday to Friday plus the occasional weekend day if required

Bonners Music is an established piano retailer/distributor with three showroom locations in the South East and a busy online / telephone sales operation.

Our Eastbourne Piano & Guitar Centre contains one of the largest collections of instruments in the UK. It is a destination for lovers of music from all over England.

Established in 1976, we are a modern, forward-thinking retailer run by a team of passionate staff who put customer experience at the forefront of everything we do.

THE ROLE

We have a vacancy for a Warehouse Supervisor at our Eastbourne head office. The position would suit candidates with great communication skills and who can demonstrate excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will oversee the general operation of our warehouse, including goods in/out, stock management, and occasional van driving to move goods between our branches, suppliers and customers.

Some of the goods we sell are very heavy, so it is essential that candidates are fit, and also have a full driving licence.

Training on our existing procedures and IT systems will be given, but we are also looking for someone who can suggest efficient new ways of doing things where relevant.

Duties to include:

  • Overseeing the general operations of our warehouse

  • Goods In Processing

  • Sales Order Despatching

  • Recording and maintaining inventory

  • Arranging branch stock transfers

  • Van loading and unloading

  • Occasional van deliveries and collection of stock from suppliers

MINIMUM CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Ability to anticipate and solve problems.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.

Ability to work unaided with clear instructions and as part of a team

Full UK Drivers Licence

Forklift Truck Operation Experience (an advantage, but not essential)

Interest in musical instruments (an advantage, but not essential)
