Following our AGM earlier this month, we’re proud to present the newly elected MIA Board! You can read about all 17 Board Members on our ‘Meet the Team’ page here.
Today, we’d like to introduce you to Andy Land and Kevin Bent
Andy Land
Andy Land is Global Head of Sustainability at the Focusrite Group, with a goal to make the Group an environmental sustainability leader that sets the standards peers strive to emulate.
With over a decade of experience at Focusrite, he oversees the Group’s environmental impact and reduction strategy, including leading the internal ‘Green Team’ while embedding environmental governance into all aspects of the business. He has setup an internal environmental impact reporting system, using this bespoke database to feed directly into the product design process, and to provide the raw data for the Group’s annual accounts – an important component of the Group’s increasing mandatory climate-related reporting requirements as a public company. These reporting requirements extend to first-hand knowledge of frameworks including ESOS, SECR, TCFD, CDP, SBTi and the TPT.
Reaching beyond the Group’s direct environmental impact, he is a founding member of the ‘Greening Music Tech’ industry working group, which was formed with the aim to lead the industry to deliver sustainable technology to all music makers.
Andy, what will you be focusing on in your role as an MIA Board Member?
I’m an advocate for a truly sustainable society that is fit for all future generations, which has led me to a focus in on Environmental Sustainability. This extends to any and all functions within business and beyond, from engineering and product design, to finance, risk management and social/human rights issues.
Kevin Bent
