Frederick Hyde announces new Nuvo WindStars class sets

Nuvo’s innovative WindStars range is now available to buy in convenient WindStars class sets, perfect for education!

What are Nuvo instruments?

Nuvo aims to enable kids from all walks of life to experience the power of making music. As one of the top classroom instrument manufacturers in the world, their beginner wind instrument range has proven popular with educators for its quality, longevity and playability.

Made from a combination of durable plastic and silicone, each instrument is ultra-lightweight and can easily be cleaned with soapy water. The Nuvo range features beginner equivalents of several traditional wind instruments, providing an ideal starting point for students to progress from. These include the jSax, jHorn, Clarineo, Recorder+ and jFlute, as well as the innovative starter instruments Dood and Toot.

What is Nuvo WindStars?

WindStars is Nuvo’s book-based classroom programme, with extra music and materials available online to supplement the books. All the materials have been created by highly accomplished music educators and are easily accessible for teachers with no previous experience of wind instruments. The WindStars books feature two different types of notation, intended to make them usable for a wider range of learners. One is standard, stave-based musical notation, and the other is Nuvo’s bespoke iconic notation system.

WindStars provides a holistic and cost-effective option for both generalist and music-specific educators to teach young students the basics of musicianship, and it comes in three levels, all catering for students of different abilities and experience.

Extensive supplementary online materials

Better still, Nuvo offers an impressive assortment of supporting materials including videos, backing tracks and print files available to download for free on the Nuvo WindStars website, making the programme even more comprehensive and exciting.
