Gretsch release Jack Antonoff signature Princess CVT model

Wednesday marked the unveiling of the latest addition to Gretsch’s storied catalog, the Limited Edition Gretsch Princess Antonoff Electromatic CVT – a signature instrument paying homage to Antonoff’s versatility as a songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist.

This highly customised CVT model is a testament to commitment to fine craftsmanship and excellence, with the process spanning over three years of collaboration to make Jack’s perfect guitar. Credited by Rolling Stone as “almost single-handedly made modern pop into a glorious safe space, an expansive, sensitive, creative biosphere,” the globally celebrated, eleven-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, Jack Antonoff, has collaborated with the likes of Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, The 1975, Diana Ross, Lorde, St. Vincent, Spoon, Florence + The Machine, Kevin Abstract and more.

In February 2024, Antonoff won Producer of the Year at the Grammy Awards, becoming only the second producer in history to win three years running.

Gretsch is proud to partner with Jack on the Limited Edition Gretsch Princess Antonoff Electromatic CVT guitar. An evolution of his beloved vintage Gretsch Princess guitar, the Princess Antonoff Electromatic CVT features a solid alder body, bolt-on “C” shaped maple neck, 7.25”-radius bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, custom-wound FideliSonic single-coil pickups, and a custom control layout for a guitar that is as unique, versatile, and dynamic as its namesake.

As a unique blend of a Gretsch Princess and a Fender Jazzmaster, Jack’s new guitar brings together the best of both worlds, combining vintage charm with modern versatility. “This guitar means so much to me because I believe so much in its existence and there’s nothing like it. I feel this remarkable need for this guitar. There are these two brilliant instruments that mean so much to me and I’ve always dreamt of this thing that is then combined. It still hasn’t sunk in even really that this is it because right now I’m just holding my favorite guitar,” Antonoff states.
