Tone Master Pro Firmware Update Introduces Bass Amps For Very First Time

Fender has just announced its latest firmware update to the Tone Master® Pro and Desktop Pro Control app, adding bass amp, cab and effects models for the very first time. This includes the ‘59 Bassman Custom, the Fender Super Bassman, a Bass Overdrive effect and more.

Elsewhere, the update also introduces a host of other exciting new effects, as well as brand new features and enhancements.

Highlights include:

Scenes: A Scene is a variation of a preset that can be saved to a footswitch for recall. Each Scene allows explicit control of the bypass state and parameter settings for each block within the preset as well as unique settings for Amp Control 1/2 and multiple MIDI messages. Up to 8 Scenes can be created in addition to the base preset.

Preset Import/Export: Presets can now be exported and imported to/from the Pro Control desktop app to Mac/PC for local backup. This makes sharing of individual presets possible via email, text, forums, Dropbox, FB groups, etc.

Virtual Capo effect: A polyphonic capo effect that lets the player transpose the instrument tuning up or down by 12 semitones.

Glooper effect: This incredibly inspiring looper is a totally original take on a looping effect not based on any existing pedal. The Glooper creates several simultaneous loops at different speeds that can be adjusted, pitch shifted, frozen and reversed for super-fun creative expression.

New amps include:

  • FENDER ’59 BASSMAN CUSTOM
  • FENDER SUPER BASSMAN® VINTAGE
  • FENDER SUPER BASSMAN® OVERDRIVE
  • RAMPAGE BLUELINE
  • ’66 FLIP TOP
