Steve Morrison of Red Cow Music, the folk music specialists, has decided to enjoy a well earned retirement, starting on the 31st December ’24 after working 46 years in Music retail.
He started at Banks and Sons Music of York in 1977 as a music buyer where he learnt so much from a very knowledgeable group of people.
In 1984 he set up MOR Music a small rock and roll shop that expanded over the years and had a shop in Fossgate York. He sold the business in 2007 and setup Red Cow Music the folk music specialist the following year. Run by Jude and Miles Morrison and Steve himself again the company has expanded slowly but purposely and is now a company known Worldwide.
Steve would just like to thank everyone who he have had the pleasure of working with and knowing and possibly apologising to some that he didn’t see eye to eye with!
The company will now be run by Miles and Judith and we wish them every success.
