Zoom is pleased to announce the H5studio Handy Recorder. The new H5studio offers the best of both worlds with 32-bit float and dedicated gain knobs—no clipping and no need for post-production. Featuring the largest mic capsules ever on a Handy Recorder, the H5studio captures recordings with unmatched depth and clarity up to 140dB SPL with an impressive dynamic range of 132dB thanks to the mic preamps and dual AD converters derived from our flagship F-series recorders. And the “advanced look-ahead” limiters prevent distortion before it reaches your track.
The H5studio is compatible to Zoom’s Mic Capsule System 3.0 and captures up to six tracks (four iso-tracks plus a stereo mix) with sample rates up to 192 kHz. It features 2 locking XLR/TRS inputs + 1 stereo mini-jack input with plug-in power and a full color LCD display for realtime waveform display and level monitoring. The H5studio is also a 4-in/2-out USB audio interface for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android, supporting 32-bit float and 16/24-bit recording. Stream live and simultaneously record a backup to microSD.
As all our new recorders the H5studio is designed with accessibility for the blind and visually impaired. Navigate the menu with audible descriptions through the built-in speaker or headphones. And with the new ZOOM Handy Control & Sync app for iOS, you can remotely manage multiple Zoom recorders*, control start/stop, and synchronize timecode effortlessly. (Current compatible models: H2essential, H5studio, BTA-1 or TCA-1 required.)
The new H5studio will ship in Q3 2025.
