Spira Guitars is expanding its range for 2026 with six new models built for modern rock and metal players. The latest drop adds two star-shaped models, 7-string V and X versions, plus an all-new offset J-Series in both standard and baritone form.
Since launching in late 2024, Spira has quickly built a name for itself by delivering high-spec guitars with bold styling and serious performance at prices that continue to set the brand apart. This new release builds on that formula, pushing further into heavier tunings, more aggressive designs and new playing styles without losing the features that made the brand stand out in the first place.
Every model in the new line-up includes Spira’s now-familiar core recipe: roasted tonewoods, Canadian roasted maple necks, Ebony Tech fingerboards, 24 jumbo frets and custom-wound high output Villain humbuckers.
“Players have been asking for 7-string V and X models for the best part of a year, so those were a given. The SR and J are where it gets interesting. One’s the extrovert, one’s the introvert, but both are unmistakably Spira. Together they round out the range in a way that feels right.” Primož Virant, Spira Guitars Founder

The New Models
SR-400
The SR-400 brings a classic star-shaped silhouette into the Spira range, pairing old-school metal attitude with the brand’s modern spec platform. With a roasted poplar body, roasted maple neck, Ebony Tech fingerboard, dual Villain humbuckers and a hardtail bridge, it is built for players who want a guitar that looks unapologetically heavy and plays the same way. Available in Satin Black.
SR-420
For players who want the full shred treatment, the SR-420 takes the same star-body platform and adds a locking tremolo. With a single Villain humbucker and a more stripped-back control layout, it is direct, aggressive and built for dive bombs, squeals and lead work. Available in Gloss White.
V-407
Spira’s V shape now comes in a 7-string format, with a 26.5” scale length designed to keep the low end tight and controlled. With dual Villain humbuckers and a sharp, modern feel, the V-407 is built for heavier riffing, lower tunings and players who want maximum visual impact. Available in Satin Black and Satin Green.
X-407
The X-407 takes Spira’s most extreme body shape and pushes it into 7-string territory. With extended scale length, dual humbuckers and a look that leaves no doubt about what it is for, this is a guitar aimed directly at modern metal players chasing tight response, aggressive tone and serious stage presence. Available in Satin Black.
J-400
The J-400 is a completely new offset shape for Spira. It keeps the same high-output formula as the rest of the line-up but wraps it in a slightly sleeker and more understated silhouette. For players who want the Spira sound and spec in something a little less shouty, this is a strong new option. Available in Satin Black and Satin Green.
J-400 Baritone
The new J-400 Baritone takes that offset platform and pushes it into lower-tuned territory with a 27” scale length. Designed for heavier styles, tighter string tension and better definition in drop tunings, it offers a different route into extended-range playing without stepping up to a 7-string. Available in Satin Black.
