PLASA is inviting applications for its next Managing Director, following the planned retirement of long-serving Managing Director Peter Heath.
This is a significant leadership opportunity at the heart of the entertainment technology industry, helping to shape the next chapter of an established international trade association with a strong member base, respected commercial platforms and a proud history of industry support.
Founded in 1976, PLASA represents companies that supply technologies and services to live events, concert and touring, theatre, broadcast, AV installation and related sectors. Today, we support around 370 member companies across the UK and internationally, reinvesting our surpluses into member services and industry initiatives.
The Managing Director will report to the Board of Directors via the Chair and will lead PLASA’s strategic and operational direction across membership, events, publications, training, qualifications, standards, advocacy and wider industry activity.
The role will include oversight of PLASA Show, PLASA Focus, LSi magazine, training and certification programmes, and PLASA’s ongoing work to champion best practice, safe working and the collective interests of our members.
We are looking for a visible, credible and energetic leader with a genuine passion for live events and entertainment technology. The successful candidate will bring strong strategic, commercial and people leadership skills, alongside the ability to work closely with our Board, members, team, partners and stakeholders in the UK and internationally.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Eastbourne, with hybrid working considered. UK and international travel will be required.
Applications close on 30 June 2026, with interviews taking place in July 2026.
