The UK’s youngest touring rock band have received the biggest endorsement of their career to date – a collaboration with legendary British music manufacturer and designer Laney Amplification.
Heavy rock four-piece Retsecrow(s) who hail from the English Midlands and feature members aged between 14 and 17, were invited by the iconic live music brand to provide the soundtrack for the launch of their latest product AUDIOHUB.
The band released their latest single ‘Follow’ via all streaming platforms on Friday 4 September to coincide with the announcement of the new range from Laney, and feature in
promotional content following an exclusive shoot at Birmingham’s Jam House music venue.
Retsecrow(s) have included ‘Follow’ in their live sets for 18 months before recording it with acclaimed producer Jay Shredder (Saxon/KK’s Priest) at his studio complex in the appropriately named village of Rock, in Worcestershire.
An emotional, riff-driven song about the fallout of a breakup, ‘Follow’ has become a firm favourite in the Retsecrows live set, showcasing the musical capabilities and showcraft of the band influenced by the diverse sounds of Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Bring Me The Horizon, Fontaines D.C. and South Arcade.
Luca, 14-year-old vocalist and guitarist with Retsecrow(s) said: “We’ve been playing Follow live for over a year, so it’s been amazing watching it grow with the crowd and hearing people sing it back to us.
“It’s raw, it’s emotional and it has the energy we want Retsecrows to be known for — we can’t wait for people to hear it.
“Recording the song and finally releasing it feels like a huge moment for us – and to hear it used by Laney is just insane! We’re absolutely buzzing to have been invited to be part of this collaboration – the Laney team have been amazing to work with.”

Born in the Black Country and forged in the musical heart of Birmingham, Laney Amplification has been shaping the sound of rock and popular music for almost 60 years.
Founded in 1967 by Lyndon Laney, the company began life in West Bromwich, before moving to Birmingham’s Digbeth – including large-scale manufacturing at the iconic Custard Factory – and later to Cradley Heath and its current home in Halesowen.
Its story is inseparable from the extraordinary musical culture of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands: Lyndon was playing alongside future Led Zeppelin legends Robert Plant and John Bonham in local band The Band of Joy when he began building amplifiers, while Laney’s relationship with Tony Iommi helped provide the defining guitar sound of Black Sabbath and, in turn, the birth of heavy metal.
Today, that distinctly Black Country heritage continues to be reflected in the company’s Black Country Customs range, with Laney exporting its distinctive British-made approach to musicians around the world.
