Snap Dragon Guitars is a British guitar manufacturer based in Chelmsford, Essex, specialising in folding travel guitars designed to offer the playability and feel of a conventional instrument while being compact enough for airline carry-on luggage. Founded by guitarist and engineer Gerry Dale after his own frustrations with travelling with a guitar, the company has developed a distinctive pivoting design that allows its instruments to fold quickly without dismantling the guitar or requiring unusual tuning systems.
Its range now includes acoustic and electric travel guitars, basses and specialist models, with the majority of components produced in its UK workshop and every instrument finished, set up and checked by hand before being shipped worldwide.
