Stentor Music is a family-owned British musical instrument manufacturer and distributor based in Reigate, Surrey, with a history dating back to 1895 and the Stentor brand. Best known for its Stentor range of violins, violas, cellos and double basses, the company specialises particularly in affordable, reliable instruments for students and music education, with its products distributed through retailers in the UK and more than 30 countries worldwide. Stentor owns and operates a dedicated instrument factory in Taixing, China, allowing it to control specifications, materials and quality rather than simply sourcing finished instruments.
Alongside its own orchestral string range, Stentor is also a major independent UK distributor, supplying hundreds of music retailers across the UK and Ireland with brands covering orchestral and fretted strings, brass, woodwind, ukuleles and accessories.
